The Nativity of Christ. This icon depicts the divine mystery of God’s incarnation. Christ is shown lying in a humble manger, surrounded by the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, angels, and shepherds, symbolizing heaven and earth united in worship. The image reflects divine humility, love, and the joy of salvation, inviting contemplation, prayer, veneration, and spiritual connection.
This Nativity of Christ icon is carefully glued onto solid hardwood and sealed under a smooth, glossy epoxy resin, resulting in a vibrant finish. Once set, each piece is trimmed to size, sanded to perfection, and finished with a high-quality wood treatment oil that enhances the natural beauty. Available in two exquisite wood types—African Padauk and Black Walnut—and in three sizes, each piece carries its own unique tone and presence.
Since each icon is individually crafted by hand, subtle variations in size and tone may occur. The artisanal process ensures each piece is unique, adding to its authentic character and charm. All available sizes feature a uniform thickness of 2.5 cm.
