Material and craftsmanship

1. What materials do you use to create each piece?

Our icons and crosses are crafted using premium hardwood—either African Padauk or Black Walnut—paired with a high-quality certified icon print. We bond them with a strong archival adhesive, seal them under crystal-clear epoxy resin, and finish with a high-quality wood treatment wax oil for lasting beauty.

2. What is the step-by-step process of creating each icon, and how much time does each stage typically take?

We select the hardwood to size, bond the icon print and let it dry for 24 hours, pour epoxy

to cure for 2-3 days, then trim, sand, and finish with wax oil, curing another 3-4 days. Each icon

takes an average of 8 days from start to finish.

3. Are these icons truly handmade, and how much of the process is done by hand?

Every icon is made one at a time, entirely by hand—from selecting and cutting the

hardwood, bonding the icon print, pouring epoxy, to the final finish. No two are alike—each one

is a unique, handcrafted piece.
