Theotokos Eleusa Icon V2

Theotokos Eleusa. This icon depicts The Holy Mother tenderly holding and embracing Baby Jesus, a gesture that conveys divine love, compassion, and intimate maternal care. Traditionally, the Virgin Mary’s cheek touches Christ’s, symbolizing her deep love and compassion , while reminding the faithful of God’s closeness and grace. This sacred image invites contemplation, prayer, veneration, and spiritual connection.

This Theotokos Eleusa icon is heat-adhered onto solid MDF wood and sealed with a durable black thermofilm laminate that wraps and seals the edges, resulting in a rich, clean finish. Each piece features a 45-degree routed edge on all four sides, giving it a refined, finished look. Available in two sizes: 16 x 21 cm (6" x 8") and 18 x 28 cm (8" x 11"), each with a uniform thickness of 3/4" (2 cm).

Since these icons are produced using a heat-press lamination process, subtle variations in border symmetry may occur—for example, one edge may appear marginally thicker than the opposite side. This is a normal characteristic of the thermolaminate process and does not affect the quality of the image or the structural integrity of the piece.

A timeless and reverent piece, perfect for display in your home, prayer space, or as a meaningful gift.
